Traxxas Stampede VXL Brushless Speed Testing
i tested the speed of my stampede vxl with a 5000mah 11.1 V lipo 30c, and i just reached 76.3kmh with 25/30 gearing…i was driving on a 1km long straight road…so…what’s the problem??
I have a problem with my stampede vxl,when it gets up to 3/4′s of a throttle it can’t keep the front down and my hobby shop told me not to put something at the front of it because the motor will over heat to fast”i see your not having a weight at the front and keeping the front end down going full throttle! what should i do?
@emzan98sandstreamer what do you mean by “safety mode”? If you are referring to the lipo voltage cutoff, then yes, you should use it to prevent over-discharge of your lipo batteries.
should i use saftey mode with a lipo or is there no problemo with saftey mode off?
everytime mine flipped, the body posts never took any damage it was always my body…… i need a new body haha

I did the same exact thing with my stampede vxl and geared the same gearing just on a venom 6400 mah 11.1 volt 3 cell lithium polymer battery and got 65 mph out of it!!!!
@rcdude132 Try thunder power they’re worth the price and make your truck go like 5 to 7 mph faster then it’s top speed estimated by it’s manufacture and last for about 3 years until they start going bad! it’s a good deal toward any kind of lithium polymer battery reliability out there

@VideoGamePlayer12 You running nickel a metal battery? if so… theres ur problem… get a nice lipo battery and…you will hit 55+…. gear it right and you hit 75+ in a rustler… Id say you have a huge problem if your going 40 in a rustler and it has a lipo battery… id almost think it was a lemon from the factory
Hmm. I put a Hi Energy 7 cell 4500mah pack in my rustler vxl geared 28/86, with suspention lowered all the way down, and I could only get 40. Is my GPS innacurate?

it is whatterproof, if u have batterie for it, all the electonics and the INCLUDED battery are whatterproof, but if you buy a new batterie (like this case) maybe, the batterie isen’t whatterproof so, becarefull when going wet

this is wexactly what I have, same color and everything…but Im clueless to RC cars and find this model to be perfect for beginners, Ive played with mine several times now and seem to wreck it a lot but its held up great so far. I need to adjust the alignment a little but thats it so far

I just got one of these tonight , i did this coment, and i like it , verrygood and fast traxass. mine came with a 8.4 7 cell battry pack, runs good , just i want more run time , then 4 to 7 mins, and ideas on how to get more run time, thanks.
I think I have two choice and I’m really stuck which one I should get. I was thinking of getting a Stock xl-5 Stampede or a Stock 1/16 e-revo with a brushed motor ( Does about 30 mph ) .
@rocnrollclb I agree, this truck is amazing for beginners. It was my first truck. It’s not crappy and slow (goes about 32-33 stock), and it is built very well so you can bash it all you want. Totally get one.
Get the Stampede XL-5 if your money is tight. The Desert Truck is crap. I was thinking the same thing when I needed a cheaper truck.

Umm BigDogdolo..Its kinda hard to pop a wheelie with hardly any traction.. on ice, sand..etc. like where hes runnin it in the video.
You can tell he’s only runnin a 6 cell cuz it aint pop a wheelie once, but nice vid
45 mins for a 6 cell battery
1 hr for a 7 cell battery
the run time depends on how your driving but I’d estimate its probably about 15 mins average so you definitley want 3-4 batteries.

i remember my pede when i first got it.. ran it off a set of 20 stairs for 15 mins straight and still runs superb.. now shes all aluminum except the chassis.. sweet vid too
