even stock the revo is classified as a truggy, but a really suckish one at that
hpi could make a great nitro 4wd short course ..the mt2 is very durable maybe they could use that for the base…I like the looks of the slayer but my traxxas vehicles all have durability issues ..so it makes me not wanna buy anymore traxxas shit
you are soooo right about the traxxas clutches and ez starts, i have to use a starter box for my revo cause i hate that damn ez start crap! lol more like once it gets broken in a bit its turns into a “doesnt start shit!” lmao
well because its not a full on truck and its not a full on buggy! its lower to the ground and has the wing mounted on back like a buggy, but has a truck body and big tires like a truck.
how does that make it a truggy?

well yea anyone planning to race this well obviously convert it to either pull start or box / bump start and use a glow ignighter to light off the glow plug. the ez start is just for people starting the hobby not for the real enthusiest
yeah my revo has hrdly any traxxas stock parts left, the radio is upgraded, the engine is an EB mods OS .18tz, it has the dual braking transmission, with the carbon fiber extended chassis. 40mm. wheels with lopro tires, it pretty much a truggy set up for racing, with a wing on the back , upgraded piggy back shocks, traxxas hollow turnbuckles, mip cvds.
its just revo with smaller A-arms, and tires, and with baja bumpers.

everyone knows that traxxas clutches suck so i would stop buyin those and the ez start i dont use because its a pain in the ass i think
no i love the hobbie i just didnt know things broke down so much on it.
@austinkx09 thanks for the help, but after a recent bash the thing spazzed out (running rich with a half tank of fuel) and I don’t know why, it scared the shit out of me too. 4X4 it is… lol
do you think i should get the slayer 3.3 or the slash 4X4? I have a 1/16 slash and don’t really love my nitro s-maxx (only sold at hobbytown)

@JVCnd4spd agreed, although i want both. i have a slayer but it would be nice to have a quiet electric so i dont bug my neighbors in my apts jumping a flip ramp in my driveway. and the losi ten-t wheels and tires are a nice fit. as well…
psssht! say what you guys want, but I digg the slayer over the slash any day, I could careless if its faster, if you have balls, buy a nitro!!!! its like a difference between driving a stick vs an automatic; sure automatic is easier to drive, but if you are a REAL driver, you’d drive a stick!! and I must concieve, putting 1:8 scale buggy tires on this thing increases its handling by ALOT!!!!
does anyone know if revo front upper+lower a-arms will fit on the slayer? if so how much will the tires stick out from under the body? i know ill need driveshafts and push/tierods. i just want to go for the true prerunner look.
considering it is independent suspension, I don’t see the problem…
it is… my slayer can’t keep up with the brushless slash.
the new brushless 4X4 slash KILLS my slayer… I can’t even keep up… electrics are dominant now.

I like the slayer. But I have also have problems 3x with the bell cluch shoes and spring also the main baering in the cluch also it seems that every time I drive the thing I brack some thing The differential problem 7x are just crap the E clip styel is not ment for hard driving All of this in one mnth eny one know if there are steel differential be for I forget Iv poot maybe 48hrs in to suspension just to get it from flipping my way to the finnish line. My slash kills the slayer all day

Best truck ever, exept the crappy plastic drive shaft. went to the track yesterday, drove so fucking slow that kids passed me just becuse i wanted to treat the car nice. 5 minutes in the first run, the pin that holds the shaft thats turning the front left wheel fell of. Ok so i only replaced it with another pin, works like a charm. FOR 2 MORE MINUTES! then i only have fwd, WTF! looks under the car, and the whole shaft is ripped to pieces. bought it 3 weeks ago, and now ive got to buy parts:(
