I own both and they both are fun. I have the 4×4 Slash, which is better than the 2WD version. It handles better and has better acceleration. Its fun to race with other SC trucks because of the full body, you can slam into each other. But I LOVE my E-Revo. Its an absolute beast. I have the Mamba Monster 2650kv motor, and Hyperion batteries. Its fast as hell and handles much larger jumps than the Slash. Another thing is if you are serious about brushless, get good batteries, they wont blow up.
@cod4mw2123 THE REVO IS NOT A STREET VEHICLE IT IS AN OFF-ROAD TRUCK. IM TIRED OF PEOPLE BUYING THE REVO TO USE IT ON THE STREET.
@multicorncake the 2WD slash is better than the 4×4?? i have the 2WD i think its great!
I have a slash and it is sort of an off road car but its better as the 4×4 (alot better)
Get a slayer or a nitro rustler, sport, or stampede. All good nitrosamines for beginners. I’m getting a slayer once I save up for it

all i ever had with my e revo is problems. front diff, slipper,trannie,driveshaft and also exploding batteries…. slash no problems other than that titan motors dont last long. get a slash
both rock it a traxxas.

just look: 2 lipos->11v and 8000mah =22.2 volts; 2 MAMBA MONSTER motors 2 esc’s that are better than de 1/16; 2 servos (6kg); more strong; and it can pull you if you want.
but…… e-revo coust 700$ and the vxl is around 300$; if you want to buy the best..go e-revo; if you want the best quality/price go 1/16 vxl

i got slash its for both road and dirt
no I bought an E-revo and it does have brushless power without a brushless motor with a 7cell battery
I thing that the revo is more of a street vehicle, the slash is more of a dirt vehicle. I dont really know because I have never driven either one, but the revo has a wider base. The slash looks like it is made kind of for drifting around the corners.

slash by far best truck i own and i own like 49 different trucks both nitro and electric and the slash is the toughest ever
