this is one of the best trucks out love it.
What do you think are the first things that should be modified on the Traxxas Slash 4×4?
@ipodbeneipod96 Electronics yes, everything else no. Definitely check out my full review videos for an in-depth explanation.
Is ot wahterprof
I’ve had a similar problem and it turned out to be an improperly installed gear cover, which really surprised me. Try removing the gear cover and re-installing by pushing the *left* side down first. It’s really easy for this part to stay popped out, even though the rest seems to go down right and the screw goes in all the way.
hey great vidio but i got a question…. i have the 4 by 4 and love it but for some freson my rear gears and weer the drive shaft is it makes tones of noise like a scrtching nios i took it apart i relly dont know why its dowing this
I bought a slash when they first came out. Now that i see this , i wish i had waited a while. I think im gonna buy one of these too.
what’s better venom batteries or duratrax batteries
Hey, thanks for stopping by. Honestly this is going to sound like a shameless plug, but you should sign up for my forum at UltimateRC . com and post up your questions in the General RC Discussion area. My site is VERY newcomer-friendly and we have a LOT of folks who enjoy helping folks like yourself find the right direction, and ultimately the right vehicle. It sometimes takes a bunch of questions & answers, so forums work way better than YouTube. Hope to see ya there!
I am about to purchase my first RC and I have a few questions. What would be right for me? I don’t plan on competetive racing but I want my RC to have some balls too. What is brushless mean were there brushes involved at one time? Electric or Gas? Which is least maint? I have some money to spend but I don’t wanna waste it on an up sale pitch from a store rep. I’m glad I found this channel I will subscribe. Plz keep the insults to the new guy light hearted ok.
I found Losi 2.5″ 4.1lb/in blue rears and 2″ 3.8lb/in blue or 3.5lb/in green fronts to be a good starting point, giving you some range to play around with different shock mounting locations. For caps, as mentioned, Big Bore caps are the ones. I don’t have a part# off the top of my head but they’re very easy to find by searching. For oil, racers seem to be going with about 50wt, which is just a hair stiffer than stock. I actually went with lighter 35wt oil up front for my driving style.
Do you have a part number for the better springs and shock caps and what oil is working best?
thats true alot of rocks go to the differential and it scratch and the spur burns.
I hope you make a video about what you did to tune it and how it works now, that would be really helpful, to see if I want it.
bigdog813: Rustler arms fit without modification, but you do need to drill the additional hole if you want to install the Traxxas sway bar set.
@epriemel but they work you just have to modify they
I also think the TIN shock shafts are also a good upgrade for the ultra stock shock
I defintely agree on the aluminum shock caps bought 4 sets never had one pop of since installation. Nice vid Audio was a bit choppy.
Thanks for that correction!
the arms aren’t rustler rear arms. they are different in that, the rustler arms have no holes for sway bars
Nice man. I am glad to hear that shock tip. I was wondering if a better cap would solve that issue. I pop tops off constantly!
Great, sensible video. I appreciate your realistic take on the truck’s suspension. Keep up the great work.
This is part 2 of 2, so please be sure to watch Part 1 first
