@kevkid55 change it to mod0.8 and go 16/54

  2. mattio79 says:

if you are going to go nimh with that VXL, at least use 9 cells. it is not a great showing for the system that’s in that truck, especially with all that nice hardware. if i had that truck, i would get foam tires and go 3s LIPO (11.1v nominal,12.6v max, with a 30c minimum pack ( Turnigy nanotech, not the other garbage on the market) then i would get RPM arms, because you DO want soemthing cheap to flex or break. otherwise something more expensive will either bend or break.

  7. bybybrad says:

  8. xXShadowRejectsXx says:

you need to change your shock setup, thats extremely stiff

  9. kevkid55 says:

what do you guys think would be a good gear set up for a rustler vxl for speed runs down a street but still keep the motor from getting too hot? i havent really been able to figure out what works good

  10. ShelbyMustang456789 says:

how much weights this thing?? Because of all that alloy parts. My stock VXL weighs exact 1803g

  11. xXShadowRejectsXx says:

    @jakester1999imtheman nah

  12. jakester1999imtheman says:

my slash can outrun that slow piece of junk

  13. xXShadowRejectsXx says:

@TraxxasMiniErevoVXL im gonna do the same!! XD

  14. Ydoucare8 says:

    @xXShadowRejectsXx he has stock gearing

  15. Ydoucare8 says:

i have the same battery however i didnt relize untill i got lipo that my charger said in small font 4-7 cells so it was only charging to the voltage of a 7 cell. i had 10.4V with my regular charger then when i used my lipo charger i told the charger it was 8 cells it went to 11.6V big difference make sure you getting the most out of your battery

  16. altoid2k4 says:

how much did you spend on all the aluminum parts?

  17. xXShadowRejectsXx says:

@TraxxasMiniErevoVXL idk about you.. .but i love the e-revo look!!

  18. ChipmunkBillye says:

    u like rotors? :)

  19. 999benhonda says:

it does 70 if you run a 3s 8000mah lipo and use different gearing. i have stock gearing and 3s 3000mah lipos and can do over 50mph.

  20. xXShadowRejectsXx says:

00:43 no offenense but thats a speed run? my xl5 stock can do that! lmfao

  21. xXShadowRejectsXx says:

@999benhonda vxl does 70 stock lmfao

  22. CutthroatBill says:

If you go offroad with that thing, the battery will come loose.

  23. xXShadowRejectsXx says:

    @sfproductions97 rcbros sell em

  24. 999benhonda says:

instead of spending $100 on alum parts, you could have bought a couple of 3s lipos and a good lipo charger. then youd be doing over 55mph!

  25. sfproductions97 says:

Where did you get the frame?

  26. CardNox says:

@samyadao, I only broke one and it was after 9 months .. but it was a PITA to find the problem :) . A tita pin would def not break!!

  27. samyadao says:

top gear pins are weak they break to fast they should make them titanium and not hollow

  28. 68ludwig1 says:

    haha kool

  29. CardNox says:

@68ludwig1, you are right. But I figured that out already since this movie was made last year ;)

  30. 68ludwig1 says:

open up ur tranny and take out the shaft that ur spur gear sits on it the shaft with top fly gear on that shaft there r to pin holes one of the pins in the pin wholes are snapped im pretty shure

  31. yellowcorba1 says:

@CardNox yeah also the cause of mine was due to poor maintenance

  32. CardNox says:

@yellowcorba1, mine was the pin in the shafts that was holding the internal top gear.

  33. yellowcorba1 says:

I had this problem it was the pins and bad bearings.

  34. RsAhNiOtM says:

see mine works it just makes this scratching noise and idk what it is!

  35. CardNox says:

@Rcstampedeking, yep. That’s the thing that broke. A common Rustler problem I know now :)

  36. Rcstampedeking says:

There is a pin on the inside of the tranny that snapped. the tires will still spin when you hold it up but with preasure it wont move

  37. CardNox says:

@SuperSnoozie, problem has been solved a few months back and this car is SOLD. It wasn’t the wheels.

  38. SuperSnoozie says:

    try duning up the tires

    with a nut

  39. CardNox says:

@xXShadowRejectsXx, no problem. If you can help I’m a happy man ;)

  40. xXShadowRejectsXx says:

@CardNox thanks alot bro you helped me out :D

  41. CardNox says:

@xXShadowRejectsXx, that doesn’t sound good. I believe they are the same diameter, but it’s been a while so don’t go blind on my word ;) . But for the money they can’t be beaten.

  42. xXShadowRejectsXx says:

@CardNox oh sweet thanks bro! are they any smaller than the stock? my stock ones rub my aftermarket alum. arms and it eats them up bad :/ lol

  43. CardNox says:

@xXShadowRejectsXx, ups my bad. They just need one easy mod and that’s you need to drill the hole in the output yoke to 2.5mm. Search for Jato Driveshaft Conversion and you will find all the info you need.

  44. xXShadowRejectsXx says:

@CardNox the drive shafts :) lol and thanks bro! i need new tires bad lol

  45. CardNox says:

@xXShadowRejectsXx, how to fit what? These Mashers offer very good grip on and offroad, they are a bit bigger than normal 2.2” tires. This gives the car higher ground cleareance; good for bashing and getting over obstacles but bad for handling. You can also look at Badlands of Gladiators ;)

  46. xXShadowRejectsXx says:

@CardNox ohh may i ask how to fit them?!?! thanks bro and sorry for being retarded haha and do those tires run good on and off road?! haha i need new ones LOL

  47. CardNox says:

@xXShadowRejectsXx, those are an upgrade, they are the Jato drive shafts which are a lot stronger than those from the Rustler, pn #5550.

  48. xXShadowRejectsXx says:

i bet its your jerry riggeds shafts :/ LOL!

  49. RCkiNg3872 says:

    @CardNox
haha i will try lol (:

  50. CardNox says:

@RCkiNg3872, next time write what you mean, I’m not a mind reader ;) . Kind regards from the ass hole.
