Traxxas Rustler promo

Traxxas was started in 1986 with an idea for what was at that time an entirely new concept for a fully assembled, hobby-class R/C car. This new car would have all the same benefits of a hobby-class kit such as replaceable parts, hop-ups, and a high-quality component radio system, however it would be fully assembled with a colorful body, right out of the box. Traxxas coined the term “Ready-To-Run” (RTR) to describe this new class. Since a fully assembled, ready-to-run car would appeal to the entry-level beginner, a toll-free customer support line was set up from day one to service an entirely new category of hobby consumer. At first, acceptance of the RTR concept was slow because traditional R/C kits had always been unassembled. Once people realized that a Traxxas RTR had the same performance and quality as the traditional R/C kits, only that they didn’t have to build it, the ready-to-run Cat was a runaway hit! A kit version would still be offered for those who still wanted to have the building experience. Over the next few years, Traxxas’ electric RTR models continued to grow in features and performance. Models such as the Hawk and Radicator incorporated the handling, driveline and suspension geometry developed by a highly successful racing program. Traxxas won many national and regional off-road championships and then offered kit versions of those winning cars as models such as the TRX-1 buggy, Blue Eagle racing truck, TCP buggy, and the SRT racing truck. 5. stsmash says:

yahh im going to have to agree with lastpally on this one.

lets try to keep the profanity to a minimum guys

  6. lastpally says:

No, it’s called a mechanical speed control( or rotary speed control). The XL-5 is a digital proportional electronic speed control. So before you get ahead get your facts straight.

  7. staticxmako says:

    no its not actually idoit
your a noob i had the one that has a server under it. it gave the motor full forward or full reverse. it was not a speed contoller in any such way cuz it was full or nothing

  8. savage24x says:

  12. dsmman94 says:

The Velineon is actually the best setup out there for 1/10th trucks, in my opinion waterproof, can run 3s lipos. And is hella fast. My co worker has had all kinds of problems with his mamba sidewinder and mamba max, my other friend burned up a novak brushless motor(2s lipo). My boss and I have have the vxl-3s and velineon motor for a while and no problems at all.

  13. paultje162 says:

    @yoyoitsmario 7700 is only for 2s lipo

  14. 34kevin34 says:

how did you get the pinion to stay on the mamba?
the shaft is kinda short and mine keeps flying off. i tried using loctite and putting it really tight but it still keeps coming off.

  15. speedysaturn84 says:

  16. FazaCarter says:

  30. grimreaper4227 says:

my 7700 in my b3 does 108mph(had my uncle use his radar gun he is C.H.P.) and it still will spin the tires at a dead stop on asphalt and wheelies on command. i wouldn’t have it any other way. nice rusty man. soon i hope mine is that sick.

  31. dwayne429 says:

Where did you get this Youtube introduction from?, I like it

  32. weed4smokey says:

is the mamba max worth the money n is it eay to program

  33. jmey107 says:

thats y u should put a 4600v in the rustler, but i am happy with my vxl

  34. star11scream says:

And speed, if you compare it to the VXL. The velineon has out did it self. On touring cars , you can get 90 with a bit gearing etc.

It is also MUCH MORE EXPENSIVE THAN Velineon
