yo i have one but its the newer version of the 2.5 and i havent gotten to drive it for about a year i fired it up a few days ago it worked great but the only problem was the tune (rich, lean fuel mixture) was for the winter so if anyone can give me any tips on tuning it then please SEND ME A MESSAGE
can i change fuels in mine
I had a soccer game there once but I forget what the name of the field was.
Thanks!
Wow perfect and also nice driving I have one myself and I’m lookin’ for a baseball field too!
Ya but it was so fun. we used the pitcher’s mound as a tiny jump
this is gonna be hell to clean when your done hahah
haha that’s what i thought.
thanks
The Nitro Rustler
should i get this or stampede?
i have this dude. it fuckin smokes. i love it man.
no way! too powerful
then do a youtube search “Nitro Rustler 3.3
I want to see a big block in a rustler!!!!
neither, its a 2.5R
what engine is it 2.5 or rx pro.15
nice, the classic rusty
@revofast thank the lord for rpm!!!!!
TUNING- lean until on performance gains, then lean 1/8 turn. LOW SPEED- lean until the motor dies within 2-3 seconds of pinching fuel line. Richen it if it goes too fast. IDLE- lower (turn out) as much as possible for it to still run reliably. Also, make sure it starts nice when it is cold after making any idle adjustments. If not, raise the speed until it will.
Yesterday I took a jump with my nitro rustler and smashed the rear shock tower and crushed the power box. So i couldn’t steer it and it got stuck in full throotle and hit a curb.
@musematte2k what. do u mean it cuts out when u give it throttle? ur probley to lean. and ur low speed is to lean. richen up or u might need some thred seal cuz it might be leaking air throught the needle screw
there are some who experience problems when man gives too much gas that the engine stops with the spirit nitro rustler? Please answer!
too short
cool air
get the RPM tower, no more broken.
the exast still comes out the side the r stands for racing
the difference between the 2.5 and 2.5r is the head and mostly theshaft inside the engine. r stands for RACING
The difference between a 2.5 and a 2.5r is that the 2.5r has a head that keeps the engine cool which means it is for racing. Thats what the r stands for. I have one and it really is made for racing!!!!!!!!!!!!
NICE JUMP!!!!! The first time i did that with my nitro rustler i broke the rear shock tower. LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL. Easy fix only a 9 dollar repair!!!!!!!!!!!
2.5 has a different cooling head and the exast come out the rear (hence the “r”)
were can i buy that body complete painted?
whats the difference between a 2.5 and a 2.5r?
Thanks for catchin that for me.
supra60, the nitro rustler doesn’t have a 2 speed however its fast from the TRX 2.5
this is a great truck, my first car also!
and ill think about getting a 15-st
i would recommend a traxxas nitro stampede thier somewhat cheap (in price not quality) and easy to maintain
I’m gonna post up a video of my ST-15 with the upgrades so check it out.
Its a fast truck with just the 2.5R and having a 2 speed is good also. These trucks take a little skill to keep from breaking them all the time. I have a Tower Hobbies ST-15 and besides the unnecessary chassis brace it is a tank compared to the rustler. But it isn’t quite as fast with its one speed transmission and is only at its best after a tuned pipe and widened suspension with a good set of tires. But it costs half as much as the Rustler.
hey i was wondering, would you recommend buying this as a first nitro? i have a rustler xl-5 and i want to get into nitro, is the nitro rustler good?
