@catfishslap The electric will beat a gas any day because the gas wont just go strait to full power you can gun the engine of an electric and will almost instantally be to top speed but a gas will bog and most liklyey die if you do that

how long is the battery life?
@quickguesswho 2WD cannot get over 50-55 before lifting off! Ther body is to large and acts like a parachute at high speed! 4WD can handle the big motor but body and wheels arent up to that much speed and it will blow over or blow a tire!
i just put a brushless in my slash and i’m having a hard time controlling it with 8.4v
@hackajim get the 1/8 mamba monster motor with 2 11.1′s it will go 80 mph
@hackajim 60mph is not to hard to get to,but your battery better be a 3s with a high C rating enough to take the high gearing needed + your motor will get extremly hot and is it worth it? It will easily do 50mph with 3s and a bit taller gearing without overheating and stressing the electronics and no changes to susp etc!
This vid is 2WD and usually wont get over 50 without blowing over backwards because of the front is to light,lowered with street tires and differnt body it will hit 60mph
@static2601 how can I make my slash go 60+? i really want to. i just got it out of the box yesterday… 4×4 , so i figure follow the rules, and get a 5000 11.1. fine! but weights? did you put any in to keep it from flipping?maybe a few weights in the c(G)??? low down?

@richarded22 richarded22 should have rinsed of the circut board wih clean fresh water,then you flush with alchohol to absorb any moisture followed by a light coat of wd40 to prevent corrosion,ive done this many times and it s usually successfull.

@TheYamahaarcticcat you can but it isn’t smart to because the stock esc doesn’t have lipo shut off safety and i dont think it can handle that high of voltage
