I have one in the same Art Scholl paint scheme by Hyperion. It has a 64″ wingspan but mine is electric.
I recently had a crash with it as my receiver lost communication with my transmitter. Spektrum DX6i and AR500. But it seemed to land mostly flat and I can repair it. nice flight on yours 5*
@TinkerManRC Thanks Tim, The field is in Rancho Sandiego, let me know if you are ever in town!!!
Tom
Great video as always Nice job dude, She flys awesome..I was wondering were your flying field is located.. Keep up the cool videos, Tim TinkerManRC
Cool plane.
Sweeeeeeeeeet
The field is okay. Last i went there were usually less than 10 guys comming to hang out or fly. But at least the place is clean
Nice flying.
I see the editing skilz are getting better.
5 Stars ~ Eric
Nice plane, a non electric one
WOW! You got one hell of an RC club there. Lucky man.
Cool flying field and plane.
@Dmiddletonyoutub1000 If you keep your flight to 6 to 8 minutes, a 16 oz tank should be fine, I have 24 oz. tanks in for smoke oil and gas but the 16′s should work out fine. I didn’t have to make any mods for the throttle installation. You can view some shop pics of my setup on the nitroplanes website when looking at the plane.
I have just received a second hand ULTIMATE 33%. I plan to build to your video. What size fuel tank did you use? Any modifications to the to throddle setup to get the tank in? Also, I have the same smoker, what size tank did you use for this?
This Bipe is, an ARF! The only skill applied, are the upgrades/added optional equipment. I’ll show y’all how to build from a kit. You can’t personalize an ARF, that’s why his is exactly the same as what’s sold on nitroplanes, dork.
It does take brains to build & fly these RC Airplanes. Kepp on Flyin’!!!
who is the cg point of model. I have bought already. the constructor says that they are in 109.1 other sure they are not this because the model pulls behind 2,3 limpres
you can also see the flight shots I did of this plane on the nitroplanes website along with the smoke system.
I built and did the review on the smaller 120 side, build video and flight video. I would recommend you do the 120 first to get use to it. Then attack the big one, they were two of the most enjoyable project for sport aerobatic show off flying.
Good luck.
It does fly great! and I’ll have some video taken early spring 2010
I put some larger wheels on it and installed new wheel pants to fit so it will showcase beautifully for the video. I’m planning on getting some nice flight videos done early spring 2010 or as soon as the weather permitts, I have lots of time on it but the weather wasn’t condusive for great video, but its coming.
When setting up yours, you can save a little money by locating parts you want to use on some of the rc websites. The cost depends on the equipment you use whether you use new or used equipment.
If you have build questions, please feel free to post them and I’ll do my best to anser them, its really isn’t that bad, just take it slowly one step at a time. Before you know it you will have it finished.
you must have alot of skill to build a plane like that i was building my ARTF high wing trainer and it was driving me crazy
Beautiful airplane nice setup and very good explaining
Looks very nice!
how much did it cost total?
yeh when are you going to make a video of it flying
the canopies are a bit fragil, I didn’t have any problem getting a replacement, and when it came I did a little re-inforcement work to boost the integrate of the structure and it worked out just fine.
I build to fly, not decorate and share some tequnices and flying videos with the general public these are really great aircraft and superb performers
this is an amazing flyer and I will have videos posted soon, I just finished up the video of the 50cc katana so nitroplanes should have it posted soon, I’ll be working on the videos for this ultimate as well as the big Messerschmitt, be patient thrir coming.
I was wondering if you have a video of the plane flying. The fly review they have its from another plane, I will love to see your plane flying. That setup you have there is crazy…………THAT MOST FLY LOVELY
Just subscribed! Its great to see someone sharing their skills and not holding on to them for the spot light mate.
I’m information gathering with rc planes at the moment. Had a couple, had a couple of Helis too. Am only on a Parkzone Corsair at the moment but when I have the space, i will build.
Hard to get it built if the manufacturer keeps sending out damaged canopies and the distributor doesn’t keep them stocked.
I flew this plane march 1st and finished up the review so you will be able to see it and read all about it in fly RC. I’ll be doing the flight videos and pics around March 11th 09 and you should be able to view it shortly after that date. This is a really great performer, check out my ultimate 120 video, this one is simply more of that great performance we come to expect from the Ultimate aircraft.
What is the real CG of this Ultimate? I have some but the instruction have a bad information about the CG.
Yes, check out the discus 2.6 meter and I have the ultimate 120 done and it should be posted any time now. Just waiting a better weather and I’ll have the giant Katana and the Messerschmitt videos done. You’ll see them posted on the NitroPlanes channel when they receive them.
My first recommendation would be to get your self a flight simulator program. This will help you with general control and orientation and a working knowledge of flight. 2ndly when I instruct a new student I find a high wing trainer is the best choice. Observe the instructors at your local flying field and determine which one best suites your needs and try to fly as much as possible till you solo, minimum of 3 times a week. Good luck with your flight training and I hope Ive been helpful.
