Here’s my friend Blake Hilson checking out my Reactor with the stock Rimfire motor and a 6s2p lipo pack with a 16 x 8E APC prop. Enjoy!
Scania truck is made from 2 Tamiya trucks and some extra parts from Carson and other makers. Axles, suspensions, long frame rails and gearbox are from Tamiya Knight Hauler. Rear axles position in frame is changed for shorter wheelbase. Helper frame that has tipper mounted, truck cab and some small parts are from Tamiya Scania. Sounds and lights are from Tamiya Tractor truck multifunction unit. From Carson are – Electric motor that has lower RPM and higher torque than original motor. – Reduction gearbox 4:1. – Front rims or wheels for wide tires and tires ofcourse. Rear tires that have more grooves for more grip. www.carson-modelsport.com Punisher shaft cardan axle is from RC4WD rc4wdstore.com Tipper cylinders are actually electric operated linear actuators type L-12 and from Firgelli. www.firgelli.com Wheel loader is home made. @aerialboy55 I would certainly advise using mni’s for 3D work. Standards are a little slow and heavy. I used some DS821′s they were torquey enough and had good speed on 6v. My .02
does this plane really need mini servos or will standard do?
.91 is probably a little too heavy a setup for this plane. I think a .72 would be on the large size. A .55 probably would be about right. I’m not a glow guy anymore so I may be off base but for 3D work this plane should be kept under 100oz or so. I ended up going with a 5s/geared inrunner for my final setup and that was righteous. My 2 cents
Great flying.
Just got one. I put in a YS-91 4 stroke. Lots of balancing issues. I can’t get it to harrier or set up for hover. What do you think?
6s was heavy enough, I ended up with a Neu inrunner on 5s and a 17 x 10 prop. That seemed to be much better. I’ve even heard of folks going with a Reaper GR60 and a 4s floaty setup. Hope that helps.
Awesome flying. What does your setup weigh? I have an axi 4130/16 in mine running on 7S but it weighs around 6.7lbs and I”m not happy with the way if flies. I may have to reduce the weight and try it again.
Good luck and have fun-keep it light. Got a carbon wing tube and carbon LG from GraphtechRC. Also went with a Neu 1509/1.5Y-what a difference!
Sorry for the delay, didn’t see the comment till now. Song is “Ready to Go” by the Sundays.
Nice flying. Looking forward to assemble my own Reactor with Turnigy motor, but have to do some serious training to compete with this.
Hi nice video and nice flying!! I love the covering sheme of that airplane, hopefully GP come out with a 120 size it would me nice, and nice music too, whats the name of the first song??
Thanks, good flights!
@thekoalak
Mayby You can make one Your self.
i juste wich if i had the dumb truck :’(
@LRGandMe It weigh’s quite a lot. Haven’t scaled it tough. Material that is loaded is heavy stone. Dont know what it is called in english, but it’s granite or bedrock or something like that. It’s a waste stone of mineing limestone. And it’s being used to cover driveways. Sorry my bad english.
how much does a full load wiegh?
@LRGandMe: It can carry a full load, and I have modified the lifting of dump bed after this video. It now lifts a full load.
how much can the truck carry with that motor?
juu ehkä unohdan ovat nääs aika kalliita
@Legomandoo13
Moi.
Kyllä saa Suomesta. Kattele vaikkapa Racing Factory netti kaupasta.
SAAKOS NOTA SCANJOJA suomesta?
Over 3000 Euro’s and 1 year in time.
about how much did it cost you to make that loader?
I have build it myself.
this is sick. i want one now!! who makes the loader??
Please look at “more info”
Thanks
Awesome work, more info on the loader please?
Drive motor is Carson motor allready and low gearbox allso.
Half loads becouse of the tipper mechanism was then little under powered.
this motor will allow you to carry a full load, instead of half a load
To do what?
Sorry I can’t understand what You mean.
you need a Carson 906043 motor, these are very torquey
ThankYou
i think its qute how you make the little road way an play with them
No Scania is 6×4.
Thank You.
is it 6×6? great vid
make ure wheeled loader a mining wheeled loader cause they are low
Thank You.
