how much is it it has very good drip and its electric waw awesome!!!!!!
@IchrouSea
thanks, the tires are rally blocks but they get such great grip on ice thanks to the metal pins I used as studs, inserted from the inside with a dab of glue on each head to keep them in place, after inserting they were cut to length. the electronics are protected by an inner body shell, some tape to hold out as much snow as possible and the electronics are treated with a corrosion blocker (oil based, line corrosionx for instance)
nice vid!
u got lots of grip on ice, what tires do you use? tamiya rally blocks or sth else?
and how do you manage to keep the electronics safe from snow?
thanks, it’s a tamiya DF03 RA
nice video! what is the model number of this car?
@diforce0wakar
Yes I do, I bought it same time as the car. I would have preferred having it come standard, and I probably wouldn’t have bought the car if one weren’t available at least as an option.
do you have a slipper clutch to protect the gears?
@aflipz oh nice. thank you for your kind answers
@kms7852
Got parts ordered through my local shop, and bought the ezrun motor/esc combo from hobbyking. probably about 250-300 in it total. Really not the most expensive car to run, far from it.
@aflipz Oh cool. so yours is brushless. that’s cool. Was it hard to get the parts come by? I was hoping to use it for drift on road and off road trails in same time. How much did you spend it all for this car? I want to have an idea of the budget.
@kms7852
It comes with a brushed motor and esc. Add servo, battery and receiver. It’s very slow and draggy in stock form. There’s no way we could have pulled any of the stuff in the vid with a DF03 RA right off the shelf. I have a 4300kv 480 class motor in there with 2 or 3 cell lipos depending on conditions and intent.
It’s a fun little car, but like all of them it has it’s weaknesses. So far all i broke was a rear diff, a body post and a dogbone. Not bad considering the abuse it’s taken.
@aflipz Oh i see. I have 2wd Slash and i hate it. I was looking into rally cars because they look wayy cooler. I should’ve bought the rally car. When you buy the kit, does it come with motor and esc? all i need is servos and radio? thanks
@kms7852
I haven’t had much luch on grass, unless your lawn is manicured like the fairway of a private golf club or an NFL football field the taller blades of grass will really bog the chassis down and cause low speeds, short runtimes and high motor temperatures.
It’s offroad capabilities/ground clearance compare well to those of a 1:16 slash vxl but not to a 1:10 slash, much less the 4×4 version.
can it go on grass? I am planning to sell my slash and get that car instead.
@yoperson2
No water damage, It has an inner-chassis cover, which I seal with tape, and to further prevent water damage I treat the electronics with corrosion block (corrosionX)
did u brake ur car wit water damadge
@sk8erEkaJ
We intended to make a landing, but as you can see it’s very hard to land at a consistant distance and angle, sometimes it’s hard to hit the ramp at all! Conditions were very different at night the packed snow stiffened up and allowed more speed but less grip. The fluffy stuf crystalized just enough to be able to pull the car through it, If I stopped, it would sink and get stuck. Sure looked cool with all the white roost though!
@outatime100
Thank you outatime100, glad you enjoyed it.
just perfection love i could watch it all day
@theonecalleddoc not to mention all the free ramp material!
Dude i cant wait for the 4 months of snow here i wont have to worry about over heating in 14* weather!
@aflipz haha i knew it
you should probably make a landing next time tho haha
@sk8erEkaJ
Hehe that’s EXACTLY what I was going for
2:09 travis pastrana right there
i am speechless…
