I just crashed mine and not much damage its a very tuff plane I uploaded the video on youtube.

Is the video this sharp when you see it on the ground ?

@kelsysuri I use Futaba 72 MHz for aircraft control and a 2.4 GHz video/audio transmitter and had much more available range. The motor magnets don’t stay adhered and you might be able to avoid the problem by adding adhesive early. I ultimately changed my motor after it quit working but I was able to use it for a while. The esc is fine but is probably being affected by others motor issues.

Hi, I’m going to buy this plane and use it for FPV. In this video you are really far up and I was wondering how many mW’s your FPV system is? I also wanted to know what radio you are using and what, if anything, did you use to extend the range on the radio? I’m a newbie at this and any info will be appreciated! Is everything on your plane stock? I heard about ESC burning issues and magnets on the motors coming loose… have you had any problems so far? Thank you in advance for your help!

@HeliRyan your post is priceless. thank you!

This is probably one of the first HD videos on YouTube after they fixed their HD streaming problems for low bandwith viewers. That happened around June 1st 2009 but was never made public.

And this video is a corker :-)

A game changer for RC pilots.
Folks – you now need to learn navigation.

And it’s not high-cost stuff either.

But seriously, navigation is the essential skill now.
A step change for RC flying, and an excellent introduction.

Great, great, piece of film and flying.

@cschwie well done , captain, well done!

  8. cschwie says:

@stormranger6 Thank you, I didn’t do any post processing. I didn’t have a computer that could edit HD video well. Therefore, I uploaded the raw video. But I was working to keep the plane steady on a light-wind day.

  9. stormranger6 says:

FANTASTIC footage. very steady flying. did you use any post editing software ( like deshaker)

    great skills

I have been flying rc for a few years now, but i know noting about video set-ups. This may be a stuid question but is it possible to ly the plane using only video feed? What are the legalitys and limitations of suc a set up?

  11. lordlozz1 says:

I have been flying rc for a while now but I know nothing about video systems. Would it be possible to fly an rc plane using only video feed ? Would this be legal?

  12. maestrosVIP says:

@cschwie ok i will check it, thank you for your reply :)
    p.s. Nice flying out there :) )

  13. cschwie says:

@maestrosVIP Check the motor wiring. My motor didn’t hold up. Both the motor and esc are poor quality but I flew them.

  14. maestrosVIP says:

hi i have the same plane and on the 2nd flight the esc burned a bit so i made an emergency landing. I was flying about 30% of throttle. Maybe anybody knows what i did wrong and it overheated???

  15. cschwie says:

I was flying through fpv using the Webbie transmitting realtime at standard definition.

  16. cschwie says:

@99F Sure does; live, or playback, video and audio. It uses the typical Sony camcorder connector.

  17. 99F says:

the sony webbie has video out??

  18. iheartkitties12 says:

    the sony webbie

  19. mikeyd0785 says:

were you using FPV or a telescope?

  20. w7mag says:

    Wow!
    Really nice video and flight.
Can you share with us what you use for a radio, video link etc?
You are doing exactly what I would like to do.

    Thanks!

Nice video. I like how stable it is. Good job.

  22. cschwie says:

Always; camera motion is much more noticeable in HD. Damping could be used but many people use post editing to smear the images.

  23. uspilot92 says:

is it always shaky, or just on youtube?

  24. cschwie says:

    Thank you for the feedback.
