@djmedic2008 i have just bought the new losi micro crawler for my first crawler, and i havent heard anything bad about it, and i love the little thing. there isnt much upgrades for it, but they are comming out with new ones. Thats the one i would suggest is the micro crawler, but im new to it, so i dont know alot about it.
thats one cool axial. nice vid nice truck and nice driving-i see your cg is high…..is it for this kind of terrein like in the video?
man i see that in the rear you have shocks insted of upper links-can you tell how it acts and tell us what are the ups and downs of this kind of setup?
rumerboys hello!
i have a losi comp crawler and its a very good truck that has much beter performance then an axial scorpion. there are no problems with this rig it just needs another kind of gear-brushlrss motor and lipo batterys-i use novak 3s goat esc with the novak ballistic 21.5t brushless motor-12t pinion gear and a 7.4v lipo……well ill go in the future with 11.1v lipo for more wheel speed but hey this losi is a monster. get the losi and you can comp with it right from the box.
@djmedic2008 Thanks for your help!
@rumerboyz well things are changing so rapidly in the market right now. Axial has just released the new XR-10. I havent heard anything bad.. but they are brannnd new.. and look fantastic. But.. you may want to check out the Axial AX10. Thats what most folks seem to start on.. that is the one above – yet the one above is upgraded considerably. Thats your bet bet
Stay away from the losi crawler – they seem to be problematic so far. Good luck!
Nice video man! New to the hobby, whats a good rock crawler to spend my money on?
what shocks r those?
Very nice Scorpion and video man! Cleaver way to set up your tires btw.. Im in the market for a Axial Scorpion.. Just undecided on what motors on wanna i want to set up..
@djmedic2008 ha ha, yea i realised after i posted lol. thanks for that. im in the process of turning a touring car chassis into a crawler. its kinda working, iv got decent flex out of it so far with huge tires on. would u recommend a worm drive motor??
@klampykixx Lol… man, i must have answered this question a bazzilion times… haha .. I have even dedicated complete videos to it.. Please check my channel for all your RC questions about rock crawling…. but to answer your question…. ABSOLUTELY …. they act as a scoop, and offer more hook up. For mud, the other way is correct, but for Clawing action… reverse is correct
Hi there, just noticing your tires are mounted in the seemingly backwards to the norm, any traction benefits?
@jacobtraxxasman I do not work for Eastridge Hobbies. They are a local store in my city
u work for eastridehobbies?
@PATURMANPLUNGER lol.. thanks for the vote of confidence.. but no way.. lol.. too top heavy!
i think your tundra could do this
I notice the tires are set up backwads? does that help any? I assume those r the hpi rock grabbers? I have the same ones if they are but run mine the opposite way. wondering if that helps you any? I dont really have a rock crawling place to test it well around my house.
Im going to try this i did notice that your cov is low and i wondered if that was why, thanks again for the insight
ahh just saw your video on the rear links, i remember watchin this awhile ago and thought it was a great idea, did’nt know you were the same guy lol!
also notice my shocks are “upside down”. This lowers the center of gravity. Yes.. you will nee some longer bolts, because you will have to add spacers (the shock body is thick) I have mine setup so that the spring PULLS THEM DOWN.. not making the shock “sprung” . This video shows the shock “sprung” but currently, and in the other vid… they are setup for comp
thankyou for your input i was shyin away from em but i’ll give em a try i’m tryin to set this comp rig up right.
I think they operate just fine.. they do have multiple ways to set them up for maximum use. I have other videos about this crawler.. check out my axial series…”rear shock links”
did you accidently tape your esc to your reciever box? had the same prob they went wacky for awhile try unpluggin everything for a night then hook back up.
blue FTW!
hha fila hai ragione
That thing does good
per l inverno invece di montare il verricello davanti, bisognerebbe montare un mini lanciafiamme con servocomando cosi ti apri la strada tra le nevi!
