Check out Squirrels forum! forums.thetoyz.com This is a video on how to wire a RC fan with a connector and not a direct solder way. I have two vids, the other is the direct method. This method will walk you through a connector picco rb .12 .15 2.5 3.3 .18 os axial lrp spec 3 .21 .20 .23…
Check out Squirrel’s forum: forums.thetoyz.com This is a 9 part video series to help new comers to the hobby with getting started and settled in. Vid 1- tools needed and needle settings Vid 2- Fuel and glow plugs Vid 3- throttle servo check Vid 4- priming and starting vid 5- engine troubleshooting vid 6- kit troubleshooting vid 7- beak in vid 8- tuning vid 9- after run care This is vid 1 of the series. In this video I go over what is needed on a basic scale in terms of tools for nitro engine rc radio controlled kits. I also go over engine needle settings and how to determine what the stock settings are. thanks for the help, i really apreciate this video, it answered alot of questions
so this wont burn out the esc?
hey can i use two fans?one for my motor and one for my esc?i drift..if that helps..pls help me
there is good fans in old laptops since laptops are about $5 on ebay etc you can get the fans from them and other parts too
thats what i did and that comment was 5 months ago.
Is this basically justsoldering the fan connector wires to the battery wires?
get a heat sink
You might be adding more voltage than it can handle. The BC on the receiver you can use and it will be a voltage of 6v or 4.8 (whatever the BEC is set at on your receiver). Typically 5V is what the computer fans are rated for.
My new motor fan (Integy) is over heating (>180F) when connected directly to the battery…voltage to be used is not specified on the fan. Can I use the B/C on my reciever to power the fan w/ a transponder using the ch3?
What esc is that?
2s is ideal.
Good vid, do the fans work with any voltage lipo?
but its never hot on the side only on the blue motor part.
Mount it on the side.
i need a fan for my velineon motor but theres not much clearance for a fan. what can i do?
A BIG (120 millimeter fan) for a PC only draws 0.45 A.. A small one will probably only draw 0.1 A, if even that.. The rating of the fan is on the back side sticker… Compared to what a modern motor draws, that’s not even an issue..you might loose 10 seconds of runtime in total
lol 3000mah battery pack, 10 sec of rc… but hey nothing will ever over heat!!!
the amps that must drag on them psus.. is stupid lol
ive been building for only 5years the small fans ive found were on in old pc’s (scrap yard jobs) just cooling the odd compoment such as the voltage regulators inside the power pack
mm yea… i been building pcs for 11 years and never seen a 2 cm fans.. : / not even on north/south bridge
I have exactly the same wire strippers
Thanks!
I also have pictoral step by steps on my forum as well. If you like it, and think others can use it, feel free to link the site in your travels.
Congrats to the guy who decided to do this series of “How to do it” videos. I’ve raced R/C cars for 30 years. 1st car Associated 1/10th RC10 Pan Car. It gave me alot of great tips and I will recommend all my mates take a look too. I hope some little guys with their first cars find thisset of videos.
