Saftey glasses are for little kids that buy xmods and might hurt themselves. People that own 1/10 chassis dont need saftey glasses to work on their cars.

    safetyglasses are for pussies…

@offroadrc just because you are stupid and lucky does not mean that you are setting a precedent for how its done right. Safety glasses? totally not necessary unless you are extra stupid, but ventilation or at least a fan blowing the fumes away is a definately a good idea. Its easy to act cavalier about it, but give it a few more years when you are laying there dying. And all you had to do was wear your PPE.

    better power enhance the voltage

  8. McGillRacing5 says:

Would you do the same thing for a xmod?

  9. superman559cali says:

you do know that solder fumes also give people cancer. Do not intake the fumes.. later

  10. madmax2069 says:

To allow for a motor that requires more power to be installed, if you was to install a motor that draws to much power from the stock fets they will fry and fry your board.

  11. Champain1143 says:

What are the benefits of adding more fets to a mini-z?

  12. offroadrc says:

1 safetyclasses: i never use these when soldering.

2: tin coses cancer: i i’am soldering 17 years now.

the rest is up to you.

  13. LUKEMELIKIAN says:

Yes, you need to keep in mind which direction the writing faces. (ex: if writing is upside down, then install the new fets with their writing upside down)

  14. kotsios1234567 says:

Can i do this on an asf board? As you know what it has 4 fets on both sides of the board. If i use the same fets how should i place them?

LOL it would be hilarious if that board exploded in your face. I’d ROFL

  19. PPPatrickWWW says:

Now I know how to solder FETS.. But I think that telling your friends what MOSFET stands for is still more impressive…

  20. AtomicMods says:

Yes, making a race worthy car requires more than just FETs. Take a look at the AtomicBuilt section of our site to see what it takes to have a winning car.- Rob

  21. Pacheco212 says:

So it is to make this spin faster, but doesn’t the suspension of the car need to change also? For example, changing speed, will not help much if the steering doesn’t react fast in a narrow curb.

  22. AtomicMods says:

Well the purpose of upgrading the FETs is to pass more current from the batteries to the motor, and that is a good thing. 4 FETs pass twice as much current as 2, plus the 4562 is stronger than the factort FETs, so it is a huge improvement in durability and performance, with no drawbacks at all, unless of course you count more crashes due to faster speeds a negative. – Rob

  23. Pacheco212 says:

Yeah I know, but doesn’t it damage the piece? Putting too much current can burn it?

  24. AtomicMods says:

Just the opposite my friend, a bigger wire can pass more current. – Rob

  25. Pacheco212 says:

2:13 Doesn’t putting too much can create resistance?
