what kind and brand is that solder?
@sandstrom1994 You can re-tin the wires with solder.
Hi Squirrel!
I’ve soldered my traxxas connectors to a battery of mine, but for some reason the alloy has come of and now the copper is exposed. Do I have a problem?
Does this affect the way my connectors will put current through my connectors?

Great Vid Squirrelod, I actually learned how to solder by watching this video about a ton of times. Thanks
I was trying to solder wires on my E Revo, but I put too much solder then too little to where it was barely hanging on, so I took everything apart and took it to my hobby store to let them fix it.
Do you recommend the sidewinder 1/10 or another stock esc?
@Squirrelod would you recommend the sidewinder or another stock esc?
@Squirrelod ok thanks. what are the 1/16 ones for?
@backintack They work.
do these connectors fit the merv or do i use those 1/16 ones in the store?
hey squirrel i was wondering what kind of soldering iron do you use
whats a good solder pen im not new to soldering just need to buy one friends are constantly asking me to solder things for them so plese help me thanks x:)
i bought a lipo online and it came with 10 gauge wire. i dont think it will fit traxxas connectors because i had a tough time soldering 12 gauge onto it. it barely fit inside the hole. any suggestions?
@34kevin34 Ive been soldering for 10 years or more. It just takes practice. You will get there the more you practice. Having a good iron is huge as well =)
you make it look so easy!!!!!!!!!!! i tried doing this and came up with many problems. first i had too much solder. then i didnt solder it on well enough and came off. but im a noob at soldering.
@Owebaby11 thats a hakko 936, the tc-950 is just the hakko with stickers put on it. the hakko is the original and is a very good station

Flux is a liquid used to transfer heat though it is corrosive. Solder is the silver wire that gets melted to join the two electronics pieces.
i never knew that there was a difference between flux and solder! I tought its just two names for the same thing… what is the difference??? Thanks
yes
is it the same for the female connectors?
