How to Select Rc Toys

How to Select Rc Toys

If you’re new to the world of RC toys, you may feel a bit overwhelmed. There are thousands of different selections you can make, and it is truly annoying to purchase an RC toy and to have it not be what you are looking for. Here is a guide to help you choose the type of RC toys that will make you, or anyone that you are buying for, extremely happy with your choices!

Choosing RC Airplanes/Helicopters

The first question most people as is, “Do RC airplanes and helicopters really fly?” If they’re good RC airplanes or RC helicopters, they absolutely do! There are remote control planes and helicopters available to purchase at all different prices, so figure out who you’re buying for.

If you’re buying for a young child, make sure you purchase a helicopter or airplane that has an easy-to-use controller. You may want to stick to the helicopters for young children, as they are generally easier to control than airplanes are.

If you’re buying for someone who knows what they’re doing, you may have to spend a bit more, or find something that is different than they have. Look for really small specimens, really large ones, or, if they have a large collection, ones that remind you of the collection they currently have.

RC Tanks

All little boys love to play with tanks, and big boys do as well! RC tanks are a huge hit with just about anyone. RC tanks can range in price, so try shopping around your budget. Some tanks have turrets that move and are actually able to fire small shells. Others, usually on the more expensive end, actually smoke very realistically. RC tanks are usually a slam dunk for any RC toy lover!

RC Cars

And now for the meat and potatoes of the RC toy world! RC cars are great toys for anyone, man, woman, or child, that loves to play around with toys. RC cars range from racing style cars, to realistic style cars, to completely fantastical cars! When it comes to choosing an RC car, think about who you’re buying the car for. If you are buying for someone young, you may not want to spend a fortune, as they will probably be fairly hard on the car. Also, you might want to look for cars that run as well outside as they do inside. For the older crowd, look for RC cars that suit their style. If they love racing and Nascar, grab a racing car. If they like high-end vehicles, look for a realistic style RC car.

With a little time, and a little thought, you can choose RC toys for everyone in your family, from the youngest to the oldest, and you may even choose to pick out a new toy for yourself! Visit HobbyMega.com for the best it RC toy selection.

The last bi-plane I flew was a Pitts S2 using a OS 120, and that thing tip stalled on the left side faster then you could imagine, if you got the nose to high on approach. seems this plane does not have that nasty habit. Never thought of tilting the landing gear forward. I will keep that in mind, from now on.

I am also a BiPlane FAN! I am almost finished with my Carl Goldberg Ultimate.I’d like to see how yours looked. I refuse to go Nitro because of the high price of fuel.I am interested in the Fuji-IMVAC 4-stroke gas engine, which is what I’ll more than likely install.
I almost went the Brushless way but, I could not find a smoke system for, electric powered planes. What’s a beautiful BIPE, without SMOKE?I like how you did this plane.
I’ll be posting vids up soon also.Kepp Flyin’ RC Headz!

if you have a short runway, less than 300 feet, you might find that the 120 is easier to land, once you have ample experience with the 120, I would certainly recommed the larger one, I’m thrilled with mine.

You get an avreage of 12 to 15 minutes per flight on a 12 oz tank and you’ve probably used around 1/2 tank so a gallon will last you quite a while and its around fifteen dollars per gallon. Its really great sport flying and relitively cheap.

thats an awsome plane!!!!!!!!!! how much do glow-powered planes cost to operate on average?

Just a neutral background song, I’ve been flying this as one of my all time favorites, not to big not to small, and exceptional performance,

  18. rcflyerct says:

Its totally 3d capable depending on balance point which should be about 1/4 behind suggested point and increase the power plant, the 120 4 stroke is ideal for a great aerobatic performer w/smoke. really great plane, I LOVE IT!

  19. rcflyerct says:

Its my understanding that the pitts was the first on the scene followed by the ultimate and I believe that the pitts influence was incorprated in its design

  20. NIGHTEHAWK says:

is this airplane modled after a Pitts???

  21. ssrc30 says:

Awesome plane, can’t wait to get one of my own. How is this one performing as far as 3D is concerned? I’m mostly into the old school aerobatics myself, but I like to dabble with the dark side now and then lol…. Great video as always. 5/5
