@dazlia2 it should be transparent so if u put colored fuel u can maybe see it but it is kinda funny lol

  2. pbmadness123 says:

can you dye a black part to a different color like say, green, or blue?

people are dying their dirt bike tanks, Im on it right now, BUUUUUT NOOOOOOOOTHING happends, drives me crazy, 15 gallons of water, water heater thing in it, cant put my finger it, close to boiling, and dye mix, why the heck does nothing happens at all???? BUT if it doesnt bite at all at my -89 gas tank, then I guess I could paint it and the gastank wont breathe out the gas into the paint??? if it would, wouldnt it let the dye bite now????? grrrrr

    Hey Squirrelod,

So after 10 minutes and a decent dye job its cooled down. Have you tried dropping it back in say after the video and dying it another 5 minutes? And if so did it take to the tank with better results? Or is it a one shot deal? Thanks.

  8. hondaman909 says:

so the dye can have somthin to cling to and go into.

@dazlia2 I am just kind of used to both sides and their points. I prefer function personally like yourself. When I asked for my opinion, like when the store asks me if something will sell or not and if they should spend the cash on the inventory, I always will say “its not for me but some will dig it”.

I had to take an alum tank for the revo. At least it had a gauge. You would be able to see the shadow of the container as well.

    @Squirrelod

    fair point lol ;)

Personally I’d rather be able to see how
much there is left in the tank since nitro
fuel is pretty essential for my nitro engine
    lol

GREAT videos by the way mate :)

  11. Squirrelod says:

@dazlia2 Its more for the trick look factor. Some people care more about looks than function or racing. To each their own =)

  12. dazlia2 says:

i’ll never understand why people want to die there tank! how can you see how much fuels left lol

  13. riderthewake02 says:

the hyper nine would have to be lightly sanded so slightly

  14. riderthewake02 says:

ya but spray paint will fade or crack and if it chips the orginal color will show through this penetrates the platic to dye the plastic not just cover it up

  15. mikethenascarfan says:

can I just spray paint it?

  16. amdintelxsniperx says:

i think i know the reason the ofna tank did not dye , it seemed a bit shinier then the losi maybe that had something to do with it

  17. TeamTraxxas37614 says:

better make sure the fuel is 110% removed we dont need any fires in our houses lol

  18. RCBoys56 says:

    @Squirrelod thanks

  19. offspringfanman96 says:

“well i didnt die yet” thats just funnny

  20. racersharpless says:

would this work if you put some weights in the tank to hold it down and just let it sit for 10-20 mins to get a deep color without holding it

  21. coolio8444 says:

Fill up the tank with water and then seal it off so it can sink

  22. backintack says:

    and aluminum isnt pouris

  23. bizarrozero says:
