How to convert you rc car to run from solar power. THIS WAS DONE FOR A SCHOOL PROJECT!!! so stop telling me to buy batteries!
Video Rating: 3 / 5

First buy a cheap rc buggy, then a cheap wireless camera and receiver off ebay. Then buy a usb TV box and plug it into your laptop. Connect receiver to tv box. Tape camera to car. Switch everything on and drive! My other camera has packed up and I can’t see anything through the viewfinder or screen. That’s why the filming is so bad.

we did this in science class except instead of a rc car we used plastic tubes, drilled in holes, and attached wheels.
yap and the car will bicome a truck
@thebennyboy13
i think it was 12v
how big is the solar pannel??
what´s the price of the panel~??
what voltage u used for the panel ? cheers
@FootyDrummer they are the metal extensions on the inside of the car that go down and touch the batteries
how do you find the battery terminals?
What do the battery terminals loook like?
thanks a lot.
add a capacitor to it to store energy;)

@CHRISBALLQWAS it was done 4 school he said in description
I did a solar car for my science fair today and every -body was fucking amazed how it worked! thanks for the idea dude!!! i wish i get a good grade!!!
if you add some capacitors then it would work at shadow for a little
nc:)
@miamixmoneyx96 You can leave it in the sunlight to charge.. it runs for a while but it loses energy…
omg i love this song and ive heared it b4 whats it called and who does it? please tell me
yeah that cod be a problem
u could use a rechargeable battery, connect a diff wire from the solar power to the battery and then when there is shadow it will use the battery
does the car always stop in the shadow : no joke
yo im doing the same exact project ..what size is the solar panel?
gute idee, aber schlechte umsetztung!!!!!
isnt that ganna weight to much it will be goin 1/2 a cm a second lol?
What voltage was the pannel ussed in this build?
u dint show uss haw ?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!???
This is a wireless camera I got from e bay for about 13 quid. OK but a pain to sort out (you need a laptop with a capture box or a video camera with an input in). Get a Flycam one 2. (google it)!
Nice! I have one attached to my RC tank, works great!
Hey, sorry to ask about an old vid, but I’m desperate to start videoing my RC too. What usb camera do you use? And do you need to buy anything else as well to put the video onto the computer?
I use a small usb camera now. A lot simpler than the radio one and a better picture. Your camera one works well, but don’t crash it (unless you can claim it on your insurance)!
i av done this on my hyper st and tied it just behind the frond struts but i used me phone. lot simpler way but bit risky for the phone lol. gd video btw
usb cord

You have to cover the laptop screen partially with a black cloth or cardboard. I also used to drive my car at total darkness in the back of my house using a camera wireless system with 10 IR leds.
