Check out Squirrels forum! forums.thetoyz.com This video is on how to select fuel and glow plugs prior to break in. Information that this contains his how to troubleshoot and break in the kit based off of the glow plug, how much oil is good in fuel, and what nitro percent is good for the fuel. This is a ten video rc nitro break in series. The series is designed on how to guide the novice to experienced racing pro or basher on how to break in a nitro rc properly. I will teach the traxxas, new school, and my own method which is a combination of the other two. I will show the user how to prime a nitro rc engine, start the engine using a bump start box, ex starter, roto start, pull start and tiger drive devices. Then, after break in, I will go over nitro engine tuning theory and then show the tuning actally done. Rear WING ? C’mon !!!!!!!!!!!
Nice video !
Tip : don’t glue the black tailholder in the tail itself on 1.05 its got to move up and down just glue the 2 tailpeaces in the fuselage.
Oh yeah the tape thing had mine to.. i just retaped it.
would it be able to use flaperon? someone tried yet?
or will i need to make flaps?
Nice review btw.
grt
if you weren’t a experienced flyer i don’t think you would of made maiden flight
what is a good plane for beginners
great video review. is there any aftermarket conversion for the landing gear to retract?
@HobbykingLive Thats cool Im sure it will help alot of American customers
Cool LIPOPILOT! I will start using English dimensions more often in future videos.
Thanks startazz! I was thinking the same thing but I don’t think there is anything wrong with the motor as it seems to run smoothly. Not quite sure why it sounded like that in the video. I thought it was just the sound of a low rpm big 3 blade prop. I’m used to the high pitch whine of a high rpm motor, lol!!
I dug up his review it is not the same plane, when I look at his and yours I see right off what is wrong with his, the wing on his is designed to far forward.
He has been around doing this for years and I think he got it free to test fly (he makes mention of test piloting in the video) So perhaps it was a prerelease plane, but it is easy to see why he so much trouble with it.
You plane has plenty of nose length and looks well balanced out of the box!
Thanks frogs84ss! I will try to remember to do the conversions in future videos. It just seems natural to me that they should be in standard measurements as well as metric as we don’t use the meteric system as much in the USA.
Mikey the Spitefire is one of my favorite WW2 warbirds. It is trully a classic and this one is a dream to fly. I never thought I would have this much fun flying slow, lol!!
TheLipRipp3r this plane looks and performs awesome. I love the scale look as it passes by in the air.
Thanks NoobyRC, I agree, you can never have enough planes. I will have a look at nightflyers review.
COOL fathead431! Thanks for watching!
Lypopilot Yes there are other reviews for this plane already on YouTube. Both Paul and I have been asked by Hobbyking to do reviews of all of the products they offer. One of the main reasons why is so we can also post the videos to the Hobbyking website under each product. This allows the customers to see what the products are like before purchasing them.
Great video Frank as always, putting HK in english is always cool.
Nice one Frank but was it me or did that motor/prop sound a bit rough on the close fly-bys ? still at that price who am i to moan lol, thunbs up.
@LIPOPILOT Nice one mate as people need to know what this bloke is up to.
thanks for the metric conversion. nice video. cool little plane.
A True Classic. It is just gorgeous. great review Frank.
Nice flyin!
Great looking scale details with the rivets and panel-lines….flies awesome….and a killer price!!!
NICE!
@Lypopilot Tell everyone your real name…let me do it for you user/jauchiu
@RCFLIGHTHELP Wanted you to know so you catch it, This guy is doing this all over youtube his real account is user/jauchiu …Just wanted to give you the heads-up. Been subscribed to you for sometime and didnt want you to think this was me.
Nice there is always room for factory built plane next to a homemade plane!
you can never have enough airplanes!
I am wondering have you seen the nitro planes spitfire (nightflyyer has one)
I bought a temp gauge today. My engine got to 146 degrees. I asked in the store how warm the engine shall be maximum and he said 120 degrees maximum. Seen on other pages when I google how warm the engine shall be and they say 95-110 degrees is the best. And you say 200 degrees is what it shall be?
@pbkid201 Tear down cleaning or high pressure air hose.
@spenatjonas no smoke through the pipe and a sizzling engine. You can get a temp gauge to look at temps.
How do I know if my engine is overheating? Is it if the bend of the ex pipe gets redhot?
how do you manage to keep your nitro rc’s so damn clean..my ofna ravager is starting to build up rust on some spots, and i try so hard every time i use it to clean it thoroughly
I use byron 25%
@98Devinc thats the worst thing you can do!
do u no any stores i can buy the nitro fuel and glow egnighter
@mxfreedom155 99% of them are premixed.
good vid! i have a question…i am thinking about getting a rc nitro buggy and when i get the nitro fuel do i have to mix it with oil? (i dont think i do but was just wondering to be safe) pls let me know
@rclover99 lol
@rclover99 caster
did you say caster or castrol
@ARMYCOLT80 When you go to your local hobby store to buy fuel, tell them that you want a 25% surface RC nitro fuel. Byrons, Trinty, etc.
im getting a 1/10 2.4Ghz Exceed RC Beginner Version .16 Engine Nitro Powered Off Road Buggy Fire Black what fuel would i need to use to power it ? do u mix the fuel ?and also what are some things i should do when i get it so i dont mess it up ?
@TheHondakid98 A proper tune will yield about a gallon through. Range varies from radio to radio.
how often do glow plugs burn up and how far can u drive without going out of the receivers range please reply
@98Devinc It will damage the engine.
some people say that u can fuel them up lean them out and run the crap out of them to break them in……. is that true
still not under standing the hole breaking it in concept
@VirtualReality13 You need to break in every RC engine.
Hey , i just bought a ready to run nitro race buggy and being new to nitro i am unsure if you need to break in a motor with ready to run models. I bought it off ebay brand new and i was told i won’t need to itbreak in, yet the instructions says i do????
@TAZZYBOYBOY It means that your fuel/ air mixture is rich. You have too much fuel going into your engine. You can lean the HSN to solve.
Before you tocuh, watch my tuning video series. I have some of the favorited on my channel and the rest can be viewed from there. It goes over stock needle settings and you want to do that project before you touch the needles. It also shows you what is too rich, lean, and perfect in terms of visual and audio signals,
Hi, I just started to break in a new nitro buggy for my son , first tank off fuel ,car on blocks and seem to run well but noticed excess fuel comming out exhaust is this normal when breaking in ?.( Instructions says not to adjust settings until after break in)
@michaelbrick85 Your local hobby store.
