GWS Zero electric RC Plane

gws zero 4 channel full function! hard to control during landing, very bad low speed handling. With a brushless motor and speedo it will fly like mad and will just about fly into a vertical hover.control surfaces are too small for these types of manouvers though!

    Nice work and nice flying…
I hope you did a “loopty-loop” for that kid on the next battery : )

    yukky landing gear.

U can get retracts for these as well would love 1.

My only other idea would be if its a little too nose heavy and then to stable… Only other thing I can think of

never tried to fly without the rudder? this one wont roll on its axis, have to apply rudder to get it to flip or it will lose to much airspeed and spin! maybe eliminating the rudder servo will save enough weight to make it possible??

  6. joeyN22 says:

Knife edge needs lots of controll surface movement and a fair bit of grunt. I dont know why rolls would be a nightmare, that is all speed relative to controll surface travel, if you build it light with no rudder setup it should be light enough to fly well with the stock eps system.

wont do a knife edge with the stock setup, rolls are a nightmare also, just not enough power i guess??

One of my favorite planes the zero, rock solid stable at any speed, will do every aerobatic maneuver you could want with sweet knife edges.
Yours seems to fly a bit ‘heavier’ than mine… The landing gear might account for some of that, still great flying mate.

pls tell me what motor u used?? and hw many amps esc pls i beg

Love your flying skills! This plane is so tricky and it always gives me the “shakes” everytime i fly it. I was planning to fly jets but i guess i need to get involve with this first.

    GREAT! ill try that

  12. drc35ca says:

if its stock gear drive its just a 370 brushed motor, its always on the edge of falling out of the sky with 6 cells battery! 7cell is a bit better! if you can find a 4 channel trainer with ailerons and put as much training as possible before flying a low wing as its unstable right from the start!

  13. cowmanblah says:

hmm. only problem is that i dont know if i have a brushless moter on mine. i probably dont. it would be a shame to have to remove the front end of the plane to change it. i noticed my elevators and rudder are acting strange. i got me a parkzone minium that flys awesome. i consider that very manueverable. its not 4 channel though. it steers with rudder. but i fly both gas and electric.

  14. drc35ca says:

It is not for beginners and its underpowered in stock form, get a slow 4 channel electric! GP electic cub is a nice scale flying 4 channel plane or Carl Goldberg electric Kadet is probably better, maybe a bit better for rolls and loops? best to go with brushless system for power, the brushed motors dont have near the power!

Wow. great! awesome flying! i need some help. i had my maiden flight from my GWS p-51 and it just started goin CRAZY!! i was off the ground about 5 feet then it tryed to do a roll. i barely saved it from that but then it turned over then samshed into the ground. it burst into 6 pieces. plz tell me how to fix this problem!!

Nice flying and Great Landing! Thumbs Up! 5*

    An amazing landing.

  18. drc35ca says:

it was bought way before the imitations came out

  19. gr34tAdida says:

Lol this looks like a cheap imitation of a GWS, made by Lai Shing/Guan Li

  20. Kakazii says:

What´s your Zero? Is it GWS?

  21. drc35ca says:

try touching down with the tail wheel first?probably nose heavy or your wheels are set back too much?

  22. ponchoyo says:

my zero has huge control surfaces, and can land very easily at slow speeds, and yet it feels heavy. Has ur plane ever nosed over during a landing?. Mine keeps flipping forward when it lands.

  23. ponchoyo says:

o well, then i’ll go swim there and get one lolz!

  24. drc35ca says:

yes if you set up well coming in with a bit of throttle it will land slow but in light winds it better to come in with enough air over the surfaces to prevent a stall ! its light and aileron and rudder control surface are small and dont have much influence at low speeds !

  25. Maxzoe20 says:

Is it much affected by wind during landing? I had no idea it could land that slowly!
