Fontanaluccia 5 Dario Mini Rock Crawler RTR Diga 4×4 off road
Video Rating: 0 / 5
The Losi Mini-Rock Crawler has really taken off since it was announced and blazed a path thats left others struggling to catch up. From its scale looking body, scaled-down National Champion Rock Claw tires, beadlocks, solid axle design and more, there’s a lot under the hood to make this a special truck. We have finally gotten our hands on one of these mighty mini’s to put it through its paces over a variety of different surfaces. We tested the Mini-Rock Crawler in its box stock configuration for a true rating of its performance characteristics. Speed Specs: Losi Mini-Rock Crawler Manufacturer – Losi Part Number – LOSB0222 Vehicle Type/Class – 1.9-inch Rock Crawler Target Audience – First-Time Crawlers, 1.9-class Enthusiasts Kit/RTR/Race Roller – RTR Test Items Used – Losi 1100mAh NiMH Mini Pack (LOSB1202) Spektrum DX3S (SPM3130) Final Thoughts I must admit that I wasn’t the first to jump on-board the rock crawling train. I am the kind of guy that lap times are the end-all/be-all, but I have to admit I found the Mini-Rock Crawler to be an interesting change of pace. I spent an hour or so messing around with one at iHobby 2008 and enjoyed myself. Getting out in the open to run the Mini-Rock Crawler was really fun. This is the type of vehicle where I can see the biggest challenge being out-doing your buddies on a Saturday afternoon while the ballgame or race is playing on a radio in the background. I’m really interested to see how the performance will change with the metal …

what is the max speed of this car?
k thanks
You can get a replacement servo saver. It’s Losi P/N LOSB1422
i got one of these and its klas but my servo saver popped of front and i lost the parts so i put other servo thingy on and i ave da power low and it stil makes that noise you said to avoid, how do i fix this?? thanks
The larger Night Crawler will be a more capable crawler in more spaces, however the Mini-Rock Crawler will be more at home in smaller and more confined area.
ok i want to get a crawler but i dont know if i should buy the losi night crawler or the mini 1/18 scale crawler any help would be nice
i think you are misguides on the points, its like golf, the one with the lowest score wins, everytime you go reverse or something, it adds points. you dont start out with a certain amount of points, other than 0.
wat to crawl ur gravel driveway lol
The stock electronics cannot be waterproofed. The best you can hope for is to make them “water resistant”. You can place the ESC and receiver in a balloon and zip tie it closed, but this won’t waterproof it.
ok thanks but can you tell me how you can get the electric stuff waterproof anyway?
There’s no real way to waterproof the ESC or receiver. Also you’d need to seal the bearings, transmission cases, basically anything with moving parts or bearings that could rust. There’s not much you can do to seal those parts off so I wouldn’t recommend running in mud or water.
I want the team losi mini rock crawler but i want to go in mud and water with it so how can i waterproof the ESC and trnasmitter? The servo i just gona buy a high torque traxxas water proof servo.
losi should make a micro rock crawler
We filmed for about 20-minutes and it still had really good power at the end. Since it’s a low-current draw application runtime should not be an issue.
Im interested in these very much there like little legends there very agile and with such plush suspension there so koool!!!. How much run time at a steady pase do u get????
It’s on the docket to be done, just waiting for them to become available. Again with winters in the midwest, snow, cold etc it’s not as easy to get these types of reviews done in the winter. There are going to be many more coming between now and the end of fall, trust me on that one.
a lil late un this one horizon. how bout the losi 1/10?
The MRC is a great starter rig! This was my first ( and only crawler as of now) and I don’t regret getting it. With some simple, free mods, you can make it perform much better than box stock. I would easily recommend this to anyone wanting to get into crawling!
i noticed you said that in the vid…
i wouldn’t say so much “old”, just experienced..lol
i havn’t crawled at all yet, but am very interested in it, so i figured the smart way to start would be to go with the mini, then work my way to the bigger and more intricate ones
And keep in mind that, while I’ve raced for over 17 years (god I’m getting old, lol) this was one of my first experiences crawling. For a newb I was very happy with the performance.
What can I say, it gets cold in the Midwest. We also have a review of the Mini-Desert Truck that should be live in the next week or so.
that handles and perfoms really well for its size… very impressed… i was curious about this, and was interest in getting one.. because of this vid, i am even more interested in it and will probably go get one… thanks for the review…
cool
Nice review! Bout time you made one of this
You’re just now reviewing this crawler….LOL
