If you are a serious RC car hobbyist and want to improve upon the current velocity and power of your RC electric car, then tune it up and after changing the brushes, break-in by lifting the tires off the ground and running the engine for around 5 minutes roughly while the remote control is in one-fourth of its full throttle to complete the break-in. Practice such break-ins to increase the life of the RC car as it helps to decrease the heat produced during motor operation. The engine may need to be replaced though if you have already changed the brushes more than five times.

well what i did was i took my slash 1`2 turn and just put the throttle idle to full and the gunk should come right out

i just bought a 14t associated reedy flash modified motor for my slash, and the commutator is already gunked up and the motor stopped working after just one run on a 3600mah battery, how do i clean all that stuff off it? and i dont remember my crap titan motor getting so gunked up that fast.
