Completing the RC Airplane – gas powered

www.stormthecastle.com I show you the completed airplane at 100% ready to go and I show you some of the interesting final assembly steps. I also start up the electrical system and we can see the servos in action as they control the flaps, ailerons, rudder and throttle. Next video about this plane will probably be flight! I also plan on mounting a camera on this plane so we can get some aerial footage! Will be a lot of fun Lots of RC airplane stuff on my website and I have other youtube videos about RC planes.

    @josh71111 It is amazing hobby. It can get expensive though. Start out with one of those easy planes you can fly in the part. Thats how I started. The mini helicopters are a lot of fun too.

    Sounds like a fun hobby I’m thinking about getting some planes.

    Good luck get back to me I sub d you ask me anything about these flown for years oh ya make a center mark on top wing front & back so U don`t have to measure everytime 4- after started get a friend to do a oil richness test to see how fat it`s running hold front wings & do a vertical test by going full throttle while tipping the front of plane up & down it must puke oil a little while lifted plus not slow revs to much bring windex & a cotton rag to clean oil off the side & wing .sub me 4 help.

    CONTINUED depends on how level it is use wheel weights if needed it will lift it U can carry a half dozen eggs this motor looks like a OS 32 I had a cadet senior 2;
    3- If U use mini hinges on flaps U fly way longer but for now do a ground skip only lifting the trike but make sure the trims are centered on radio once up CALM DOWN and set the trims so U have to keep lifting it up slowly and use half throttle once up only go for 5 min . first your nerves will be trashed to land shut throttle down.

    Hello friend I have some absolute must tricks before you fly ; 1- take a 1/8 drill bit and measure on the right side of the base plate of the prop to the body U must have an angle on the motor not parellel left about 1/4 ; 2- find the spar of the wing, The center rib from tip 2 tip (underneath) make a mark on both sides CENTER spar make yourself a stand to balance it from these marks it MUST be nose heavy just past level this will keep the plane from flying irratic up & down to weight ; MORE

    @bokim09 Darn, It says in the book how far it can go and its pretty far. If the limit is exceeded it goes into safe mode and the plane reduces power and comes to the ground.

    @icedsolid Thanks, The scratch building will be a lot of fun, and a lot of work. That will be a solid series of videos. I am looking forward to that project. Once I fly this one a couple of times I will move on to that one. And pretty sure I want to do a military plane like a mustang. They look so cool.

    @animereader1 Thanks! Feels great to be a bit of an inspiration. And your idea withe led’s is great. Night flying is an awesome idea. Hmmm….. And you have got to send me pics when its done.

    i was inspired by your video and i’m making my own! haha, though i’m adding about 100 led’s for some night-flying :3

    Cool, A few questions, how far can this plane be from the transmitter and what happens when you exceed that limit. Thank you.
